These are the most commonly used in and most commonly adjusted to countirees with tropical climates.

Characteristics include:
High softening point
high resistance to heat
Naturally emusifiable

Uses
They are the most used and most adjusted bitumen grades in the tropics as compromise products between 40/50, the hard bitumen and 80/100 the less hard.

BITUMEN 35/50 AND 40/50 PENTRATION GRADES

Hard bitumen grades that offer the following benefits:
Better resistance to road rutting and creeping
High reistance to bad weather
Better flexibility
Reduced immobilization for an immediate resumption of traffic on the road way
Long period of use of roadway

Characteristics include:
High softening point
Very high resistance rate
Very loq rate of deformation
Need little more energy at reheating
Naturally emusifiable

Mostly used in manufacture of hot bituminous mixes
