To enhance it s business, Shield operates a 12,500MT storage facility in Apapa, Lagos for the storage and distribution of imported products to different parts of the country. By virtue of this agreement, the company is able to ensure an uninterrupted supply of product at competitive prices. Annual sales turnover for Bitumen was 70,000MT for 2007. Shield has representative offices in Ghana, Cote D’Ivorie and the Seychelles. The company enjoys a solid relationship with Societe Ivoirience de Raffinage (SIR) of Cote D’Ivorie from which it also imports white products such as Diesel, PMS, Kerosene and Jet Fuel. The company in return exports Low Pour Fuel Oil (LPFO). In Abidjan, our office coordinates purchase of products from Societe Multinationale De Bitumes (SMB) and Societe Ivoirience de Raffinage (SIR) from which it purchases bitumen and white products. Shield has a joint venture agreement with Folawiyo Energy Limited for the storage of white products in its 66,000MT storage facility in Apapa, Lagos. Shield also tenders for the supply of white products from Tema Oil Refinery through its Ghana office. Shield Petroleum has established itself as a credible operator in the downstream petroleum products marketing sector, enjoying a well – eared reputation with both its suppliers and bankers.
